It is not new that quantum computing is a subject of study and excitement for scientists worldwide.

This technology allows traditional bits of computing we know to scale exponentially, bringing countless possibilities for problem-solving that could never have been thought of before.

Specifically regarding the Galaxy A55 line, Samsung will use the parameters of a quantum chip to enhance the security of financial operations through Samsung Pay and authentication using Samsung Knox.

Commercially, Samsung is working on naming this variant of the Galaxy A55 as Galaxy Quantum5.

The chip made by Samsung in partnership with ID Quantique will only work within South Korea, in agreement with the SK Telecom operator.

“The Galaxy Quantum 5 is the latest in the Quantum series, now with premium performance and AI features, further enhancing its integrity. Our goal is to offer security and AI features at a reasonable price through the Galaxy Quantum 5, and we will continue our efforts to ensure that our customers enjoy a convenient telecommunications experience,” said Yoo Chul-joon, executive of SK Telecom.

This model will cost approximately US$ 465, converted into Brazilian Reais, equivalent to around R$ 2,608.98.

Samsung did not detail if they have plans to launch the Galaxy Quantum5 for other markets. But when it comes to innovation, the brand almost always works globally.

In this sense, it is very likely that Samsung is already planning for a global launch of the model.
