Samsung has started rolling out the October 2024 security update for the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra models this week. Initially, the update is available in Switzerland and is expected to arrive in Brazil soon.

It is worth noting that the release of the update in regions outside of Europe may take a few days or even weeks. This is because the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra follow a quarterly update schedule, resulting in a slower global rollout compared to devices that receive monthly updates.
The latest update for the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra can be identified by the version number ending in HXJ1. This update focuses on security fixes and does not bring any new features. The October patch fixes 30 vulnerabilities in Android, two of which are classified as critical as they can lead to memory corruption.
In addition, the update addresses a dozen vulnerabilities specific to Galaxy devices and also fixes some issues related to Galaxy smartphones equipped with certain Exynos chips, including the Exynos 990 found in the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra.
To download the latest update on your device, go to the Settings app, scroll down and select Software Update, then tap on the Download and Install button.
Keep your device secure with the latest Samsung update!
