Galaxy A16 5G arrives with six years of updates and affordable price

A Samsung just quietly launched the Galaxy A16 5G. The device was listed on the official website of the brand in the Netherlands and brings interesting features.

One of these features is the fact that this phone will support up to 6 years of updates for new versions of Android and One UI. This means that it will be included in the list of eligible devices for One UI 7 and beyond.

The Galaxy A16 5G comes with a 6.7″ FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. And of course, it continues the tradition of keeping its screens in Amoled. In this case, we’re talking about Super AMOLED.

There are three cameras on the rear of the phone: a 50MP main camera, a 5MP Ultra Wide, and a 2MP macro camera. For the front camera, it’s 13MP.

The price of this smartphone may be quite appealing. It will be available for only 229 euros, which is approximately R$ 1,378 in direct conversion.

6-year Update

An interesting point about this device is that it will provide 6 years of updates. It is the first Galaxy to exceed the 5 years that Samsung had mentioned in recent releases.

There is no information yet on the global availability of the device. However, we will be monitoring to inform you when it will be available in Brazil.
