A new security update has been released for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra models. With this, Samsung implements the latest security patch, dated November 1st, for its flagship smartphone line of 2023. It’s worth noting that this same update was made available for the Galaxy S24 series on November 4th.

The update for Galaxy S23 devices, which started rolling out in the US, initially covers carrier-locked variants. Unlocked versions and international markets – including Brazil – are expected to receive the update later this week. To identify the November update, look for the build number S911xSQS5CXI8.
Although this update brings important security improvements, there are no significant new features beyond these fixes. This is not surprising, as Samsung is focused on developing the beta program for One UI 7.0 for the Galaxy S23 and other eligible devices. At this time, Samsung has not disclosed details about the security fixes included in the November 2024 update for Galaxy devices, but more information is expected to be revealed before the end of the week.
